Cook Frozen Crab Legs in Your Food Dehydrator
If you want to learn how to cook frozen crab legs then you will need a microwave-safe recipe. You can find these on the internet, in cookbooks, and recipe books. In fact, you can even get a recipe in the movie “Rocky” that shows Rocky Balboa frying up some crabs. This was one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
I have been wanting to cook frozen crab legs for a while now and have never been able to find a good recipe. The reason I never found a good recipe is that they are cooked in water which usually defeats the purpose of steaming them. steaming is where the meat gets cooked. So, if you want to cook frozen meat with a seafood steamer you will not be able to do it without one. The water that is used for cooking crabs should really be warm and it should be seasoned with salt.
If you want to learn how to cook frozen crab legs, you will have to use a microwave-safe frozen dish.
My favorite is a crab salad bowl. This is easy to make and very tasty. If you have never cooked crab salad before you will not be able to tell what the difference is between a frozen and thawed crab. Both of these ingredients are very similar and this dish tastes just as good both ways.
To cook frozen king crab legs you will first defrost the crab and drain it. First, put the crab meat into a large bowl and cover it with salt. Once the crab is covered in salt it should be in a refrigerator for about five to ten days. If you do not have a refrigerator, you will have to cook it within the microwave or put it into the cold water in your oven. You do not want to overcook it because it will become rubbery and dry.
You will next need to add the other ingredients to your hot water.
In my opinion, the best way to cook crab legs is to use a pressure cooker. These work very well because they force the liquid into the meat. Most people like to use boiling crab legs because it can be done in a matter of hours and there is not as much of a wait.
Once the meat is in the pot, you will want to add it to your steamer. Bring your pot of water to a boil and cover your lid. While your cooker is heating up, bring your pot of water to a simmer and set your Alaskan king crab legs in your steamer. The heat of the steam will cook the meat through and seal in the juices.
Once your cooker has reached a simmer, take your crab legs out of the pot and place them on a wire rack to cool.
With your microwave-safe container, fill your microwave with about one tablespoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of garlic, and about a quarter teaspoon of salt. Set this mixture inside your steamer and allow this to heat up for about ten minutes while you preheat your oven.
After about five minutes you will need to defrost your frozen crab meat in your microwave. When this has defrosted, you are ready to cook in your cast-iron skillet. This is an excellent cookware set that I would recommend buying. They are made from quality cast iron and have a non-stick coating, making them easy to clean. The price you pay for these items pays for itself within just a few hours when you prepare this delectable dish.
